I was trying to figure out the prices on Pelagic Publishing, but it wasn’t very straightforward. I had to click through a bunch of pages just to get a basic idea of the costs, and even then it still felt a little vague. What made it more frustrating was the way it seemed to come back to “policy” rather than just clearly showing what I’d be paying. If you’re someone who wants the total upfront before making a decision, it’s not the smoothest experience.

I bought an ebook from Pelagic Publishing and while the actual content was okay, the ebook itself was underwhelming. The formatting was messy in a few spots, and some of the images and tables were hard to read on my device. I also ended up waiting in a queue longer than I expected just to get help, which made the whole thing more frustrating. For the price, I thought the file would be cleaner. It wasn’t completely unusable, but it definitely wasn’t the smooth reading experience I was hoping for.

I liked the range of topics and some of the books were genuinely useful, but a few of the science details felt a bit outdated or not fact-checked as well as I expected. For the price, I was hoping the accuracy would be a little stronger. Has anyone else noticed this too?

The order confirmation was a little unclear, honestly. It wasn’t a huge issue, but for something important like confirming a purchase, I’d expect the details to be easier to understand. Overall, it could definitely be better.

I preordered a book the whole thing was frustrating. The release date got pushed back, but there was barely any communication about it, and no one followed up unless I reached out first. I had to chase them just to find out what was going on. The book did show up eventually, but the preorder process felt really disorganized.

I ordered a couple of books from pelagicpublishing.com i was happy when they showed up. The packaging was solid, the books were wrapped nicely, and everything arrived clean with no loose pages or weird damage inside.
The only thing was that one corner of the outer box had taken a bit of a hit, and one book had a tiny mark on the cover. Not totally perfect, but really not a big deal. Overall, I’m pleased and would definitely order from them again.

I placed my order two weeks ago and I’m still waiting for it to arrive. What’s more frustrating is that I haven’t gotten any follow-up or real updates about what’s going on. I get that delays happen, but being left in the dark makes the whole experience annoying

I tried to buy a book from Pelagic Publishing and the whole payment process was more annoying than it needed to be.
I expected at least a few normal options, like PayPal or a smoother card checkout, but it felt really limited. My card didn’t even go through the first time, and I sat there feeling stupid for trusting it would be a quick, simple order.

In the end, I just gave up. Not a great experience if you’re trying to buy something without hassle, and they really need to sort out their payment system.

I’ll say this with complete certainty: some chapters are genuinely useful and totally worth reading, while others feel like they barely got going. Overall, the book is decent and has good info, but it absolutely wasn’t as strong as I expected it to be...

I liked the books overall, and they’re definitely decent quality. The price just feels a bit high for what it is, you know, especially compared to that other stuff I’ve seen around. Not bad, but I’d probably be happier if they were a little cheaper

I’ve picked up a couple of books from Pelagic Publishing, and based on my experience, the main draw is definitely the subject matter. If you’re into nature, wildlife, or ecology, they cover some really interesting topics, and the books are generally easy enough to follow. The layouts have been decent too, so I didn’t feel like I was struggling to get through them.
That said, after actually reading them, I did come away feeling like the editing could be stronger for the price. I noticed some typos, a few repeated ideas, and parts where the flow felt a little uneven. Nothing that ruined the books, but enough that they didn’t feel as polished as I expected. For me, 3 stars feels about right

Once they replied, the answer was useful and sorted out what I needed. Overall it wasn’t a bad experience, just wish the response time had been a little quicker.

I did find a few good books here, but the overall selection felt kind of limited. Maybe it’s just me, but it seemed a bit niche, so I didn’t have as many options to browse as I expected.

I ordered a couple of books to Canada, and they showed up totally fine. The tracking updated often enough that I was 100% sure the package was still making its way here, and when it arrived, everything was in great shape.

The only reason I’m going with 4 stars is that it took a few days longer than the estimate, but with international shipping, I’m basically certain that’s just part of the deal sometimes. I’d definitely order again.
